GROUPS (2).png

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." - Acts 2:42

"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." - Hebrews 10:25

Why should I join a Growth Group?

People are made for relationships. Individuals hunger for the deep, authentic relationships. A Growth Group is a place where one can travel life’s journey together.

What is the Group

A church sponsored, supported and recognized group of individuals who meet for fellowship, study, Bible/life discussions and prayer. Each group is led by a team of leaders who have participated in our Grace Church growth group leader training.

What is the purpose?

Provide a group of individuals a weekly opportunity to grow in their faith, grow in relationships with each other and walk together in life.

How long do they last?

Groups meet for 10 week sessions. Session 1 begins in the fall and ends before Christmas. Session 2 begins in the new year and ends before Easter. Session 3 begins in the spring and ends before the school year is over. Groups do not meet during the summer. We recommend that individuals commit and participate for the entire 10 week session.

When and where do they meet?

Each group decides where it wants to meet.  Groups meet in the Group members’ homes.

How long does a meeting last?

A typical Group lasts 1-1.5 hours. However, Group time will vary.

How is time spent?

Fellowship time (30 minutes), opening prayer and announcements (15 minutes), Bible study/discussion and closing prayer (45 min). This is a suggested schedule.

Can I join if I don’t go to Grace Church?

Yes. Grace friends, neighbors, family members, and coworkers can participate.  Most of the discussion/study materials are appropriate for both believers and those not attending a church.

What does it cost?

Growth groups don't have to cost anything! There may be some minimal expense if a group decides to purchase literature or pay for child care, but this all depends upon your chosen Growth Group.  If you need help, talk to your Group facilitator for assistance.
